i love the heart of Jesus for the samaritan woman, cos it says in vs 4 "But He needed to go through Samaria." Jesus took a detour all for the sake of one woman who had been satisfying her thirst from all the wrong "wells", to finally be the One giving her living water for the rest of her days. i can definitely identify with the samaritan woman. not that it isn't good to want to excel in my career n in my family time... but i forgot yet again, like why in the whole world am i relying on my own strength to draw my own water from these wells when HE IS LIVING WATER for me?! seeing Jesus before me, seeing that JESUS NOW IS, seeing ALL THE TRUTH THAT JESUS IS, is what my Abba seeks... it is what He sees as WORSHIP.
"For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen." - Romans 11:36
the zone conference with hillsong united and pastor judah smith for that and today's service was simply AWESOME. FANTASTIC.
fueled up the fire that had been burning in my heart for a while... caught their spirit for people, for worship. totally confirmed, that THERE IS NO EXCUSE ANYMORE. this is it. this is what i want.
"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" - Psalm 34:8
spent half a day with ms kim, jae suk and his friend ben on my day off on thursday! haven't seen him in quite a while, so thought of just catching up, esp since what had just happened. jae suk is back in singapore only for a while before returning to the US, and bringing ben around singapore since it's his first time in asia! he's really cool, like he's teaching in HONDURAS! like, where is that??? (of course i know where it is -___-) his dream is to teach in the orphange they are helping to set up there, like how cool is that!
so anyway, we had really yummy korean food for lunch, and then we set off on a walking tour of arab street. when i heard they wanted to go arab street, i was like, "arab street?! what is there to see? cloth??" ok apparently they find the sultan mosque nice to look at... ok actually i like that area too for the quaint shophouses. it's just... weird for me. cos then i realised i was the only singaporean, n i had no idea what is there in singapore i can show them... TT
then i thought, hey heck it lah, i also nv take foto with the sultan mosque b4 also. so pose with ms kim (her first time to arab street) n ben too!
felt really embarrassed as a singaporean. asked another tourist couple to take this foto for us. i kept my mouth shut n tried to pass off as a korean. hahaha.
they almost got chased out by the guard doing this at li ka shing's gotham-city building... hahaha.
they find this lion interesting. they also pointed to rosie n phua chu kang on the mrt doors n asked me if they were famous actors... -_- so i gave an explanation on how they promote singaporeans to be a gracious society blah blah... sigh.
well, at least they had other friends bringing them to clarke quay n all. the whole trip just made me feel that i should stop reading korea guide books n rediscover singapore already!

a day as a singaporean tourist in singapore
spent half a day with ms kim, jae suk and his friend ben on my day off on thursday! haven't seen him in quite a while, so thought of just catching up, esp since what had just happened. jae suk is back in singapore only for a while before returning to the US, and bringing ben around singapore since it's his first time in asia! he's really cool, like he's teaching in HONDURAS! like, where is that??? (of course i know where it is -___-) his dream is to teach in the orphange they are helping to set up there, like how cool is that!
