getting ready for an awesome time of praise & worship under the stars!
i really feel young again. haha.
23rd May - PLAY! @ Sentosa Tanjong Beach!
tampines east cg all ready to have fun! it was a rare event where all 3 youth ministries of new creation church (DARE, Arrow & GenRev) came together for games and praise & worship! i think easily there were 1000 pple! we met up early and had a yummy breakfast at superdog vivo city to gear up for our captain's ball match later in the day... (alas, we lost in the semi-finals. oh well, we had a good time together anyway!)

"Instead of your shame you shall have double honour."
Isaiah 61:7
pastor benjamin's sermon ydae completely spoke to me. he started with isaiah 32, abt the "palaces" and "forts" in our lives that seem to be forsaken and dry like a desert, referring to what we build up in our lives - our careers. he said some of us are thinking, "pastor, i loved my job... until i met the boss!" haha! that's totally me! then he went on to verses 16-17:
"Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever."
it's appalling how easy it is to completely lose sight of the hope of Jesus, and look around you at all the ugliness. pastor said that justice actually refers to the condemnation we allowed to enter into our hearts, which leads us to feel helpless and dry in whatever we do. but when we rmbr how RIGHTEOUS Jesus has made us in His blood, we will REMAIN in the fruitful field, and PEACE will reign. pastor also then said, "those of you who have been wrongly accused at work, or you feel like you have been put to shame, God will restore DOUBLE HONOUR."
i am reminded again... i certainly never deserved any of these blessings. but Jesus blood paid for it, n there's no way i'm insulting the value of His blood. hallelujah. i receive this double honour Jesus!
for whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
