i think i am still ultimately Chinese-blood through and through man (i say this cos pple say i too Korean-ified liao), cos CNY is like damn big to me... maybe cos i love it that my whole extended family gets together n we all pig out on steamboat and yu-sheng together, not to forget the gambling (mahjong, dai-di, blackjack...). i think i had the most fun this year, bcos it was a bit different this time. played a lot of crazy games with my cousins, even had arm-wrestling! contrary to popular belief, no, i wasn't the ultimate winner... my 15-yr-old cousin joanna (aka jojoabi) who is a kayaking champion and in NCC Sea Cadets in school beat me after a tough fight. sigh. haha. and then we actually all met up in chinatown on the 3rd day of CNY for breakfast (porridge, raw fish, chee cheong fun, spring rolls, yam cake...)! like, we're not morning pple, and we all enjoy air-con one. but my mum and her siblings all chinatown children, so for us to all get together there again after so long was really a great feeling! even though this year's holidays longer than most other years cos over the weekend, i still feel like we hadn't had enough! and the funny thing is, it is only this year that we took photos... and my uncles and aunties actually also entertain us!
