it's been a long time... and finally we're heading to korea together!!
OH MY GAWDDDDDDD!!!!!!

mayni was back for hols! i miss her!
idol hopefuls -what is needed to release all the pent-up emotions from work.
lurve GD's hair... can't wait for their comeback in august!
it's one of the few really good korean dramas i like that makes me happy and wanna watch all over again... esp since JGS is sooooooooooooooo adorable (together with hongki and yonghwa!). then i found out... JGS was gonna come to singapore for fan meeting!!
i tell u... i kept asking my fellow k-pop-fanatic-friends... but none of them were gonna pay the $168 for the ticket! so sad leh! i so much wanted to see him... so sad until i watched the drama till 5am...
THEN... at 10am! i got the call of my life!! suffice to say, God aswered my deep heartfelt prayer... and I GOT A VIP TICKET FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok yeah, great to have friends in (high) places!
here i am with darling debbie and addy... newly transformed "eels"! that's what JGS fans are called. haha! the fan meeting was held in rock audi, so it was kinda weird to sit in the same seats as i do every sunday in church, but to fangirl. best thing was, WE GOT 2ND ROW SEATS IN THE CENTRE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE STAGE!!! WOOHOO!!!!
WAHLAU!!!!! it's really him in the bunny suit can!!! he got out of his bunny suit to all of us screaming fangirls and starts his 1st performance w/o a word... which was DJ-ing. quite surprising for me to see his musical side...
he's VERY confident and a natural performer... and it helps that he looks so darn cute!!! i went crazy at this part (check the screen)... hahahaha.
we went MAD at this... i wish i was that fangirl!!! another part during Q&A, he actually got a girl to come up on stage to SMELL him, to prove his fave scent is really vanilla. she was really shy abt it, but he HUGGED her! ARGH!!!!!
darn... really very 帅!!
he even did one song item... justin timberlake's "sexyback"!! we just went wild i tell u... me, debbie and addy! sooo cheeky that i can't post the vid up, for my own consumption!
yup... we officially declared ourselves as fangirls of his already. like, we're getting ourselves all the fangirl memorabilia... and trying to pout like him.
he still wins in the cuteness contest.
and today i received...
my piggy bunny 돼지토끼!!
muahaha... this euphoria is raising a bed of roses around my feet and head!
love the movie! watching it really did seem to bring me back to my childhood, where all the peculiarity seemed so believable. but then again, reading such a weird novel at age 7, can't say i completely i understood or enjoyed the brilliance of it.
"Why is a raven like a writing desk?"
haha i went to find the answer after the movie, apparently lewis carroll did hint at it:
"Because it can produce a few notes, though… they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!" (pun on "nevar" spelt wrongly bcos backwards it spells "raven")
LOVE johnny depp as the mad hatter! don't think i can imagine anyone else playing that character! esp the part where he snips a piece of ribbon into a small dress and stuffs into the teapot for alice - totally reminds me of willy wonka mixed with edward scissorhands!
the red queen with her bulbous head and heart-shaped red hair is hilarious, together with the white queen who occasionally loses her pristine image with the spitting and all... haha.
i'm so gonna watch the movie again in a better 3D movie theatre!

marked camp was AMAZING. AWESOME. it's been almost 3 yrs since my last camp, and even though i could only go for 3 out of the 5 days of camp, Jesus really knows what touches my heart... really felt so loved in all the little things.
i had an amazing lovely bunkmate whom i abolutely adore... meijie!
she almost went to the extent of decorating our big comfy king bed with rose petals to welcome me! nah i'm bragging. haha. but she's really a God-sent blessing just by being herself. her beauty is really the glory from her love in Jesus. precious that we can share our hearts, wake for breakfast together and sip coffee, and KEEP EVERYONE ELSE OFF OUR BED! haha... we're both clean-loving angels.

*deep fangirl breath* like, after loving Big Bang for 3 years, wishing i could hear them perfom live and almost spending lots of money flying to korea to watch their concerts... finally they're in front of my eyes in singapore, and i hear GD rapping live... *tear* my dream finally came true! all that wait was worth it, cos they sang 7 songs and brought the house down! all the other groups only had only 3! they're totally awesome, sound as good live as in their CD!

unfortunately, i had a sucky camera so these are other people's fancams (credits to their wonderful dslrs)... :( i should totally invest in a good camera!
here's a group shot taken from debbie's wonderful camera~ envyyy she and addy sat so close to the platform. i was not too far off too... but by the time Big Bang appeared, i was jumping on my chair and screaming "g-dragon!! jiyong!!" like a mad cow, in between the sing-and-dance along.

i've been in lurve with this 23 yr old korean cutie with his lovely puppy eyes and gorgeous smile that has been driving me all goo-goo-ga-ga for the past 2 weeks... JANG GEUN SUK!! better late than never, cos the drama "you're beautiful 미남이시네요" was showing late last year and i only just watched it.
it's one of the few really good korean dramas i like that makes me happy and wanna watch all over again... esp since JGS is sooooooooooooooo adorable (together with hongki and yonghwa!). then i found out... JGS was gonna come to singapore for fan meeting!!
THEN... at 10am! i got the call of my life!! suffice to say, God aswered my deep heartfelt prayer... and I GOT A VIP TICKET FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then suddenly these 3 mascots appear from different parts of the audi, and we were like... ok... as if he's one of them and let the fans touch lah!

i really like his voice! sure he's not professional singer and went off key a few times, but he's really nice to listen to!
i think the fact that he really made an effort to speak in english to his fans was the clincher...his english is really not quite bad for a korean star! i mean, he is the first ever to actually want to speak in english to his fans (i heard ft island and lee minho and the rest just went all stiff and politically correct in korean)! he made use of his translator only when he really couldn't think of the correct word to express, and subsequently when he wanted to say more. he really really loves his fans, and that totally includes me!

it's been crazy madness working hours for me... 13 hour days where i wake up, go to work, and work, and work, come home sleep... and the whole cycle starts again. it was with much reluctance that i had to go to brunei for booth set-up for the ASEAN tourism forum, even though it was just 2 days. but hey, it gave me some time off away from work(place), home, people and everything else... to a place of quietness.
the event venue, bridex centre, next to the south china sea. cute.
the ultra-grand empire hotel. NOT where i was staying.
amazing hotel facing the south china sea... great place for a retreat, if not for the expensive airfare... (can go korea lor!)

i heard the sunset view is amazing... when asked abt it, my driver (yes i had a young driver) was like apathetically "oh yeah, quite nice." -___-
i wanted to like, spend some time alone... just me and the sound of the sea. alas, my poor driver trying to entertain himself staring at the tree branches. so i left after like, 10 mins.but of cos, quickly selca first! hah.
i need a holidayyyyyyyyy.

the past 3 mths passed in a fleeting... and now i am confirmed as a permanent employee of resorts world sentosa. the pic above was taken like a couple of mths ago... we've probably become more frazzled-looking since then, with the amount of work we are under now!
i'm really blessed to have siow ling and mayni as my direct bosses, i couldn't ask for more in having them guide me patiently and nurturing me. helping me erase the past damage! love siow ling esp... she is always smiling, always positive, always speaking good for pple. firm yet not overbearing, soft but not weak. and she works harder than anybody else!
a lot has been on my mind... and maybe heart too, about work. esp since i've been spending 12 hours every day at work. start to weigh in again how work interferes with my whole life. start to fear again that work becomes my life. and we all know fear leads to anger, and anger leads to hate. back then, i had so many reasons to hate. but now, i don't want to hate. it's not the pple, but the situation. i don't like to have to choose btwn where my dedication goes to.
this is when siow ling becomes like a big sister to me. i felt like a child being so upset at work... and she emails me with a "shar baby... u very angry ah?" and comes over to offer me a chocolate to cheer me up (she has learnt my pattern very fast. -___-). even when i worked OT and had to miss church, she gave me this little pouty look and said "sorry" to me so apologetically... so i'm like, wow, i don't deserve such favour, i don't deserve my boss treating me so well. but this IS the favour i have bcos of Jesus, why should i be ashamed of it? why should i feel like i need to prove i deserve anything?
awesome sharing with cg today reminded me: having faith that Jesus paid His blood for my righteousness, is the most perfect, complete faith that you can ever have. no more faith is going to come down from heaven to you, bcos His is a finished work!
REST sharmaine. it was never just about you. it is all about HIM in you.
